CS gas systems for burglary protection

With our CS gas systems, we can extend your conventional alarm and CCTV system, closing a crucial security gap.

This gap is the time between the raising of the alarm and the arrival of the police or security guards on the scene. Many burglars are only too well aware of this delay and use it to steal, vandalise and then get away.

Our CS gas system stops thieves in their tracks. Installed in conjunction with an alarm system, it provides highly effective protection against intrusion. Our CS gas unit is designed for retrofitting into existing alarm systems, including of course our AD-E 600 and AD-G 1000 wireless alarm solutions.

All CS gas products sold by us are patented and have been specially devised for the protection of property and the prevention of intrusion by burglars. With our CS gas unit, you deter thieves from stealing your property. As they are temporarily disabled, they will find it difficult to leave the scene before the police or security guards arrive.

At the correct dosage, the specially developed gas mixture we use does not have any lasting health effects and is approved by police forces in Germany. The release of the gas does not in any way affect your property, as it leaves no residue behind. CS gas neutralises itself as it comes into contact with air. There is thus no risk of damage to electronic parts, textiles or packed foodstuff. There is also no need to clean the rooms, goods or clothing after a CS gas release.

The CS gas system from alarm.direct comes in different sizes and designs, from wall-mounted units and models for recessed installation into ceilings and walls to large-scale devices for warehouses.

Operation of CS gas system

  • Activation
When entering the protected property, the burglar triggers the alarm system.
  • Warning
The alarm system activates the CS gas unit, which first warns the intruder with an acoustic message that CS gas will be released unless he leaves the protected area instantly. The intruder thus has a chance to escape from the scene before the CS gas is released.
  • Disabling of intruder
If the burglar ignores the warning and remains in the protected area, his movements trigger the CS gas control of the system. The initial gas release is in the form of a concentrated burst. If the burglar retracts, the gas release is stopped immediately. If he keeps moving in the monitored area, more CS gas is released. By moving through the room, the burglar thus actually controls the operation of the security system. As he is now in no position to cause any damage or steal any valuables, he is likely to flee the scene as quickly as he can.
  • Room protection
As the air in the room remains saturated with CS gas for some time, the intruder is unable to re-enter the secured area. This protection remains effective for approx. 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the room ventilation. As the CS gas decomposes as it comes into contact with the water contained in the air (hydrolysis), the room is eventually fully cleared of all gas residue. The police or security guards arriving on the scene are made aware by an acoustic warning that there might still be CS gas in the air, so that they can take the necessary precautions when inspecting the site.
